The Noyes Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is offering up to $5000 in college scholarships.
Dansville, NY, December 2, 2011 – The Noyes Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is offering up to $5000 in college scholarships. Scholarships will be awarded to qualified students matriculating in an associate or bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university in medicine, nursing, or any other health-related field, including dentistry, ophthalmology, and pharmacy. We are inviting you to encourage appropriate students to apply for these scholarships. We are glad we are able to offer this opportunity to help students in the Noyes Memorial Hospital service area defray the high expenses incurred by today’s college students.
In an effort to make sure all students will have access to an application, please make copies of the enclosed application to distribute to your students so that they may begin the application process without any delay. One can also find the scholarship application on the Noyes Memorial Hospital website. We thank you for your cooperation and patience.
We are asking you to send a letter of recommendation for each applicant including your feelings and comments about the applicant’s success in his or her chosen field of study. In addition, please include an official copy of the student’s academic transcript. Students must also obtain an additional letter of recommendation from an individual who can speak to the qualities the student possesses for his or her particular medical field of study. The following is a listing of important dates to remember:- Friday, February 10, 2012 student application, transcript, and two letters of recommendation (one from the school counselor and one from another individual who can discuss the qualifications the applicant possesses for the particular medical field) should be at the address below on or before this date. Applications received after this date may not be considered.
- The application is available online by clicking here, applicants will still be required to mail in a copy of their transcripts as well as their letters of recommendation.
- Interviews will be conducted with all finalists.
- Winners will be notified in April.
- Winners and their parents will be honored at the Auxiliary’s dinner meeting on Monday, April 30, 2012.
